ASSIGNMENT IN GROUPS Pretend that you and your group are settlers headed west. You have picked up everything and left your families behind in the East to find your fortune and forge a new life west of the Rocky Mountains. In a letter home write about these things: What dangers do you face? What is the area like in the west (be specific with what you see)? How hard is life for you? What are you travelling in? How do you feel about the natives? Why do you feel that way? Be sure to close your letter to your family.
