Medford Online Mission: Provide students with a rigorous, relevant and personalized learning environment that prepares every student for college and career readiness. Location: We are a “click and brick” hybrid educational program. Brick and mortar location: Medford School District Education Center 815 S. Oakdale Ave. Online Programs Office Room 285 Classroom and Learning Lab: Rooms 284 and 286 Students: Students living in the Medford School District in grades 6-12

Team Medford Online Our team believes connections are the foundation of an exceptional education. Staff Years of Experience Online Programs Coordinator: Jennifer Jones 32 Years Teacher: Aubrey Laughlin 15 Years Teacher: Don Anderson 20 Years Office Assistant: TBD Our students also receive the support of the staff at their local school, including Special Education resources, counselors, teachers, and administrators as needed.

Teacher: Don Anderson Endorsed in Science and Language Arts, Don has 20 years of experience teaching grades 7-12 and college-level students a wide variety of courses including chemistry, forestry, literature, writing, psychology and graphic design. He was raised on a ranch in Hood River Valley and he and his wife Judy, who teaches violin and plays in the local orchestra, bring a wealth of experience and creativity to our educational community.

Teacher: Aubrey Laughlin Endorsed in Language Arts, Aubrey brings 15+ years of experience teaching grades 6-12 online courses in all core subject areas. She enjoys preparing students for college entrance exams, AP tests, SAT , GED, and helping them to craft college essays. She is also a published author, photographer, public speaker, singer-songwriter, and artist.

Two Models: Fully Virtual and Hybrid Students complete majority of work from home with parent/guardian working closely as an instructor, tutor, and coach to the student. Weekly meetings with teacher may be completed through video chat or by drop in at school. Two contacts required each week for attendance purposes. Unit and final exams are completed at school in proctored setting. For families who are interested in providing significant support to their student. For example, homeschool families.

Two Models: Fully Virtual and Hybrid Students meet two days a week for face to face instruction with teacher and small groups of students. Online work is personalized to each student to be completed at home the remaining days of the week. Students and teachers work together to create relevant, and engaging project based learning opportunities. For families who want more support

Logistics Registration: Transportation: Provided by family. Occurs at neighborhood school. See registration dates and information on the school websites. Must be approved for placement at Medford Online by school administrator and Online Programs Coordinator. Complete intake meeting with Medford Online staff to develop personal education plan and schedule. Transportation: Provided by family. Athletics and Activities: Band, sports, etc. are available through the neighborhood school. Standard eligibility applies.
