Communism in China Essay Part 1: The Communist Revolution

Overview You will be writing an essay to answer the following question: How has the Communist government in China changed over the last 65 years? Your essay will be made up of five parts: An introductory paragraph A body paragraph on the Chinese Revolution in China We will work on this today A body paragraph on the Cultural Revolution A body paragraph on modern reforms in China A concluding paragraph Each body paragraph will, essentially, be an SCR

American History Textbook Guiding Question: How did the Communists gain power in China? Read “China Becomes a Communist Country” on pages 815-817 and note down anything that can help you answer the guiding question Note down what page each piece of information came form Figure out the in-text citation for the textbook Note: in-text citations for books follow this format: (last name of the first author page number) Example: (Sanderson 512)
