Know the various events along China’s road to modernization (Great Leap Forward, etc)
Be able to put some of those events in order!
Know who the Nationalists and Communists were
Know the FOUR major problems facing China today (according to the video we watched)
Understand what Mao did to help the economy that FAILED and what Deng did that SUCCEEDED
** Make sure to look over your notes sheets, you should know major information about China, like population trends, languages, and culture traits!
Propaganda Activity
You will be given an image of a Chinese propaganda poster OR a political cartoon. You will need to write about what you think the message behind the image is and provide details from the image that support your idea.
