How Do You Get Pilot’s Name Out There?? Pilot is Awesome!! Would you like to join us? There is no better way to tell people about Pilot than to explain why you are a Pilot or why you are a member of a Pilot Club The personal approach should always be number 1 as it is often the most effective #1 YOU and YOUR Story

How Do I Get Pilot’s Name Out There? Along with Social Media, do not discount the effectiveness of radio, television and newspaper in today’s technology-based society. Send press releases and photos to local media outlets #2 Traditional Media

How Do I Get Pilot’s Name Out There? Wear your Pilot pride on your sleeve…literally. It is an easy way to promote your Club, but it makes a strong statement Members can wear Pilot shirts promoting the Club during your next project and then showcase their love for Pilot on any given day Wearing your Pilot pin every day is another way to get your name out there # 3 Club Clothing & Jewelry

Ways to Promote Your Club in the Community A Pilot Club could set up an informational table at a restaurant or grocery store. Invite people to ask questions and learn more about Pilot. The forum could be used as a way of inviting prospective Members to learn more about your club without actually hosting a Share Pilot event. At Public Events: Make sure your club is part of the community Members should attend farmer’s markets, county and state fairs, leadership classes and other local events. Potential Pilots should know that Pilot members value their community Sponsor a local sports team!!! Just imagine a team of little league players all wearing jerseys with your Pilot Club name and the Pilot logo. Marketing is essential for Clubs to attract new Members and establish a strong basis in the community As Pilots, you are the best source of marketing for your Club. You understand the value of being a member and working on projects in your community. Now it is up to you to share that value with others so your club can grow, attain new members and make a difference in your community The team gets funding and your club get to showcase how they serve the community Set up an informational table at Public Events, Stores, Sponsor a local Sports Team!

Ways to Promote Your Club in the Community Finally, Consider working with another community based group in a mutually beneficial relationship. Run a joint project so each group effectively markets the other Partner with Another Community Group

Developing Your Elevator Speech What you are doing wrong: Assume: WE assume that our listener is inside our head Provide a List: We ramble on and on Lead with our Vision Statement: Don’t get too specific and you can’t go too broad. So let me give you the recipe for a strong elevator speech….. What Does Pilot Do?

Developing Your Elevator Speech Answer the question to: Tell me about your organization? That is the question they really want to know the answer to What does your organization do? Leads us to a list or to a paralyzing vision statement The Recipe for a Strong Elevator Speech

Developing Your Elevator Speech How about a sentence that starts with …We work to…. Take Our Mission and Bring it to Life

Developing Your Elevator Speech Ask them a question….. Did you know….. Questions For the Pilot International, It may be a question to make a point about their kids. This question and exchange engages the provides and provides permission from them to you to keep talking. You have changed this from a monologue to a discussion You’ve just bought yourself time to tell them more Ask Your Own Question…

Developing Your Elevator Speech As tempting as it is to ramble on about all of the focuses of Pilot, just give one clear, quick and simple example Give Me One Example

Developing Your Elevator Speech Let Your Passion Come through: This is critical. If by chance you have engaged them in a deeper way, they want to hear that you love what you do, that the work is hard and rewarding, that while there is never enough time or resources, it’s a privilege to do the work. Let Your Passion Come Through

Developing Your Elevator Speech Practice kid practice!!! Each of you is an ambassador and you have to get this right. You have to get them at hello Practice Makes Perfect

The Need for Brand Consistency Brand consistency can be defined as the process where the brand attempts to communicate the messages pertaining to the brand and its offerings n a manner that does not detract away from the core values, brand strategy, fundamentals, and foundation of the brand. Finally, with enough repetition through expressions and messages, the brand elements get ingrained in the minds of potential members Sharing the ABC’s of Pilot and our Do More, Care More and Be More need to be part of our Branding Pilot’s Brand: The ABC’s Of Pilot; Do More, Care More, Be More
