8 Enthusiasm To create Enthusiasm you need the following Essential ingredients: – V itality – Passion – And…Curiosity – Sharing the Dream of what can be – Interest – Keeping a High Level – Knowledge – Never Quit Learning – Belief in yourself, and in Exchange – Purpose Helps keep the motivation and focus on reaching the goals

9 Hitting our Members’ Buttons Brainstorm with your Members in Mind. Tap into your members’ current Skills, Talents, Interests, and those THEY want to develop. Maximize the return on your members’ investment of their time. (WIIFM) Try different ways to complete a project asking for their input and ideas. Single out Members and thank them publicly Showcase your members Reach out with a personal invite to get involved

10 Energy How do we Energize folks to initiate and keep the momentum going? – Have FUN with the Process – Lead by Example – Model the Way –You set the tone -So Make it a Positive Up Beat One – Be passionate and… – Express that Passion in all you do – Share Knowledge, Expertise and Experience – Create an air of Excitement about being involved

11 Excitement What inspires Excitement and Commitment? – Clear V ision and Direction – Having a deep and noble sense of purpose: A Significant Purpose – Focusing on the end result not the process for getting there – Recognition and Reward ( Lots and Lots ) – Generating the TEAM Spirit – Creating the Passion – Turn work into a Party and have FUN !!!

12 Excitement SOooooo……. Make our Meetings FUN and WORTH attending Establish a Fun Club Challenge Never forget the Social side of Exchange Make our Projects matter so members want to be involved.

13 Engagement If we do that we will have involved engaged Exchangites who… – Align their personal actions and behaviors with their deepest Values and Beliefs with that of our organization. – Promote emotions that become the motivator towards involvement – Are Involved in decision-making process – Take advantage of a wide variety of Opportunities – Will care when they are able to invest in the process.

14 Engagement Creating a meeting atmosphere our members will love to attend. Make getting involved easy to do. Roll out the Welcome Mat. Educate and Orientate New & Old alike. Make members feel needed & wanted. Communicate well and often. Promote Teamwork. Promote FUN !
