Steps of a Lesson – Wrap Up

Paired Discussion Why is it important to remind students of what they have learned after a full and exciting lesson? Preview As we move into the wrap up stage of a lesson, let’s think about the importance of drawing students' attention to their learning. Ask participants to discuss the prompt with a partner. Ask two or three participants to share their ideas with the whole group.

Small Group Discussion What are some ideas for wrapping up a lesson? Do you have a favorite review game or activity? Review 2 Divide participants into groups of two to three. Ask them to discuss the prompt. Tell participants to include any new ideas on Handout 5.1 under “Wrap Up”. As time allows, call on each group to share their wrap-up ideas.
