Morning Procedures

Get to School on Time! If it is after 8:00 a.m., YOU are late!

Start of Class Unpack your backpack . Unpack your backpack All you need is a sharpen pencil and 2 composition notebooks. 2. Place backpack on hook (back of class) 3. Homework should be in the HW bin if any 4. Start working on writing assignment

Daily Procedures

Assignment Notebook Bring notebooks to all classes Take notes not drawing Record homework in agenda

Classroom Signals Give Me 5 ! Maybe make a poster for beginning of year

Questions and Answers Raise your hand quietly I will only call on QUIET hands Do not come to my desk When someone is called on, put your hand down and actively listen to what is said

Restroom Procedures Could only use the restroom/water once after teacher led instruction. Use the restroom signal to use the bathroom.

Pencils Sharpen pencil before the start of class. If your pencil breaks: Trade a pencil Ask a friend to borrow (please return when finished)

Paper Notebook (lined) paper is on the front table – it is not used for drawing It is your responsibility to keep up with any homework or paper assignments. Have poster up with example of heading for papers

Desk Sharing You will be sharing a desk with other students from Ms. Smith and Ms. Nik classes. Don’t leave personal items in desk. Clean desks when finished! “Mi casa es su casa” ~ “My house is your house.”

Walking in Line Wait to line up until instructed to do so Walk quietly Arms at your side Stand directly behind the person in front of you – FAME line! What is FAME?

Specials Art Music P.E. Spanish Make sure you have all supplies Know schedule each day Classroom rules will be followed MAKE ME PROUD!

What to do when your done with my class work??? Make sure your first and last name is on your work along with the date. Work on other assignments/ Homework MOST IMPORTANTLY: Don’t disturb others!!!! I’m done Finished!

Homework Homework weekly Record your homework in agenda If homework is missing or incomplete you will receive a zero.

Absent … Now what? It’s YOUR responsibility to check with the teacher if you were absent to make up the work you missed.

Dismissal Procedures

Backpacks With permission, get your backpack Return to your seat Begin packing your backpack with assignment notebook homework

Clean your Area Clean your area EVERYDAY !!! Clear your desk Clean the floor around your desk Put any materials you have away ***Ask yourself – Does the room look as good as it did this morning???

Respect This is your family away from home We WILL respect each other Give me examples of how we can respect each other … Making fun of others will NOT be tolerated Apologizing / “Man Up”

There’s no I in teamwork, only a W for we! Everyone has a part Respecting others opinion Work together Active listening Might not always agree, but can talk about it nicely Trust your team mates
