Tablets pilot project . . . my experiences so far Meetings at the Department of E-Learning. Various encounters with the supplier regarding hardware and software content. Workshops with E-Learning support teacher. Joanne Mallia Zahra B.Ed (hons) DEAM

Using tablets in my classroom To enhance the learning experience for 21st century students. Using technology as an extension of the teacher. An educational tool to aid different students in reaching higher literacy goals. To up skill students in creating using various applications, videos, cameras, etc.

The flipped classroom Students centred as students can learn anytime and anywhere. Personalisation and customisation of teaching and learning. Advantages for absent students. Provides time for classroom interaction. Involving parents .

Challenges Work overload. Tackling different abilities. Unprepared students.

Guided Reading Apps of graded reading books facilitate guided reading sessions. Narration provides proper English diction.

Achieving higher order skills Online activities to help students acquire higher order skills.

Answer garden To help students carry out brainstorming sessions in the shortest time possible while making it interesting and sharing ideas. To introduce creative writing. As a plenary session after introducing a new topic.

Technology does not make good teachers, however it helps us to reach our aims.
