Man, who is born of woman, is short-lived and full of turmoil. Like a flower he comes forth and withers. He also flees like a shadow and does not remain. Job 14:1-2
Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow, we shall go to such and such a city, and spend a year there and engage in business and make a profit.” Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow.
You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away. James 4:13-14
All of us need to realize just how short life is…our days are fleeting. Each day may be our last. We need to fill each day with diligence in doing the Lord’s will.
We’ve been given this first day of the week to worship God. We pray we have all assembled to worship Him in the way He has taught us, and to do so diligently.
