About ERYICA – European Youth Information and Counselling Agency ERYICA is an international non-governmental, non-profit making association based in Luxembourg. Members: national and regional networks of youth information services providers. Network: 36 Members in 27 European countries

ERYICA ERYICA makes youth information work visible on national and international levels, while provides its members with opportunities for professional development, exchange & innovation.

Basic questions before training What is the goal of Youth Work? What does the society expect from Youth Information and Counselling Services?  influence on the needs of competencies and skills needed in YI work What kind of competences and skills do Youth Information Workers need to ensure quality Youth Information services that are based on young people´s information needs? Do we have enough research-based information about what kind of competence is needed?

Why ERYICA network organise training Lack of basic and additional training in Youth Information in our member countries Training and education + competences and skills ensure that services are designed in a way that all young people have equal access to quality Youth Information. Youth information is not included in Youth Work Training curricula in every European country  ERYICA has an crucial role in providing non-formal training to YI workers in our member countires.

How we do it ERYICA expert group “Training Task Force” design courses based on members’ needs and future trends developing an ERYICA capacity-building and training system for online and offline training activities Flexible system to create cources based on needs. Maintenance of a pool of trainers and enlarging it through training of trainers.
