Half of young Europeans ready to work abroad 53% of young people in Europe are willing or keen to work in another European country, source Eurobarometer survey May 2011 Broad-based skills most important benefit of spending time abroad : improving ability to speak a foreign language, cultural awareness, adaptability and interpersonal competences. Obstacles: lack of cash discourages, family commitments, a lack of information/guidance about mobility opportunities Youth needs: advise on professional career, where find a new job or a training opportunity in Europe, how apply for jobs

EURES services toward youngsters Promote mobility among youth and graduates Provide information - on living and working conditions; - on obstacles to mobility and suggestions; - on CVs and application letters; - how to start professional career Job matching, vacancies, recruitment projects etc

5 Training: Innovative guidance methods to support mobility
Organizers: EURES & Euroguidance networks in Estonia and Finland Target group: Estonian and Finnish career counsellors from PES, universities, schools and EURES advisers, EURES assistants. Purpose of the training is to strengthen the participants’ guidance and counselling skills in situations where they work with clients interested in international mobility. Benefits: chance to create networks with other practitioners and exchange ideas on good guidance and counselling methods and practices. Duration of the training course: two contact seminars (one in Estonia and another in Finland) and two two-day job-shadowing periods
