WHAT IS NATURAL GAS? Natural gas is one of the non renewable fossil fuels that is from buried organic matter Needs more heat and pressure than other fossil fuels Is a mixture of methane, propane, and butane Is more cleaner than other fossil fuels because it mainly emits Carbon Dioxide

WHERE ARE THEY FOUND Most of the natural gas are sealed down underground between rock formations Can be mostly found in all countries

EXTRACTING NATURAL GAS We have found a new way to take the natural gas underneath and it is called Fracking if the water is contaminated, it may contain carcinogen which can cause cancer in living tissue

CAN FRACKING CAUSE EARTHQUAKES? YES THEY CAN!!!!! A 4.0 magnitude earthquake in Youngston Ohio occurs due to fracking on new years eve of 2011 Cause earthquakes due to the blasting of water, sand, and chemicals

BC GAS WILL FLOW TO KITIMAT A 463 Kilometer pipeline is being used that will be connected to a pipeline in summit lake This pipeline will carry natural gas from the horn river basin to the Kitimat facility for export Kitimat Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) All this will be sent to Asian markets They will be making 1.4 BILLION cubic feet of natural gas a DAY!!!!!

PROBLEM? This might give us cheap quality of power Why? Because when the facilities are ready to go, BC Hydro will be providing all the energy the 2 LNG facilities need and power shortages may occur

WHY SELL TO ASIA? Since prices of natural gas in North America is low due to shale gas it is 3 times higher in price If Asia takes most of our natural gas, the monthly bill of heating may rise for us (BAD THING)
