Facilitating the Market The Care Act 2014 places a duty on Local Authorities to facilitate a diverse, sustainable high quality market for their whole local population and to promote efficient and effective operation of the adult care and support market as a whole.

The Market Position Statement (MPS) Service planning information: Service supply Available resources Legislation & policy requirements Commissioning intentions Trends across service-user groups Local demographics and population projections from Torbay’s the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) To be refreshed in 2019, in parallel with an approach being developed with Devon County Council.

Integrated Care – The Shape of Adult Social Care in Torbay 2019-2029 Draft strategy under pinned by the MPS, intended to stimulate partnership design & delivery with the independent sector, to achieve the market change required to deliver the vision for resilient adult care and support in Torbay. We will be inviting you to workshops in the new year to develop the picture. We would like you to look at the draft strategy before attending the workshops The focus will be on outcomes.
