Selecting an ES Specialty Each ES Specialty has specific training tasks that must be accomplished in order to qualify. To view these, go to the CAP members website > eServices > My Opertions Qualifications > SQTRs > Entry/View Worksheet Scroll through the various SQTRs and select ones to view that are of potential interest to you.

What are the Prerequisites? What am I Supposed to Learn? The SQTR for the individual specialty lists the various tasks. Who Authenticates my Task Completion? Within the Tallahassee Squadron there are designated persons who can sign-off on ES task accomplishment Once they are satisfied that you have demonstrated knowledge of a task, they can authenticate this by signing/initialing your SQTR You are responsible for safeguarding your SQTR; when everything has been completed it will need to be uploaded to eServices > Operations Qualifications to substantiate your request to be approved for the ES specialty If you participate in a SAREX, bring your SQTR along to get appropriate sign-offs

Administrative Requirements When you apply for initial approval or requalification, it must go through three levels for approval: Squadron, Group and Wing Unless the appropriate paperwork has been uploaded to Operations Qualifications, approval will be denied This includes signed-off SQTRs, First Aid cards and FEMA certificates Note that CAP exams taken online (e.g., GES 116) automatically populate the right fields on the SQTR. FEMA exams, like IS 100, IS 700, do not; you need to print out the certificate, scan it and upload it yourself See the View/Upload Documents link

Issues Initial qualifications are good for three years. If you dont participate in at least one exercise within that period, your qualification will expire. First aid cards are only good for two years. Specialties that require those (e.g., FLM, GTM3) will lapse if renewals exceed that timeframe. Different CAP Wings do things differently; we have to do it the way Florida Wing prescribes.
