Plot Map [IN 4] Plot: Series of related events that make up a story or drama. Exposition: the story’s basic situation Conflict: the problem Climax: the moment of great emotional intensity or suspense when we learn what the outcome of the conflict will be Denouement: the resolution

Plot Map [IN 3] Climax: Rising Action/Conflicts: Falling Action/Conflicts Resolved: Plot Map [IN 3] Exposition: Denouement: Setting (Time/Place):

Plot Map [IN 4] Somebody Who is the protagonist? Wanted What does the protagonist want, or what is the protagonist’s goal? But What is conflict in the story, or what is keeping the protagonist from his or her goal? So How is the conflict resolved, or how does the protagonist reach his or her goal? Then… What is the story’s denouement, or how does the story end?

SWBST Summary Cinderella wanted to go to the ball, but her evil stepmother wouldn’t allow her to go, so her fairy godmother showed up and used magic to give her a dress, shoes, and a carriage so she could go. Then…she met the Prince, they fell in love, and lived happily ever after.
