3. Plot
Plot is the organized sequence of events that make up a story. Every plot is made up of a series of incidents that are related to one another.

4. 1. Exposition
This occurs at the beginning of a story. Here we are introduced to….
the major characters (protagonist and antagonist)
the setting (time and place)
the conflict (main problem)

5. 2. Rising Action
In this part of the story the conflict begins to intensify. A building of interest or suspense occurs as complications arise!

6. 3. Climax
This is the exciting turning point of the story. The protagonist comes face to face with the conflict, and we will find out if he or she achieves his or her goal or not!

7. 4. Falling Action
With the major conflict resolved, the smaller conflicts (complications) are resolved.

8. 5. Resolution
With everything resolved, the story comes to a reasonable ending.
