January 18, 2019 1. Write in your agenda. No homework 2. Get out your bell ringer page. 3. Put all of your other books in or under the basket. 4. Complete the bell ringer. Write in blue or black pen only, and fill the space by the correct date. Paper Distributors – please give out answer documents. Subject for Quiz – Modifiers and Advertising Techniques. Put your roster number between the blue boxes and highlight your answers. Bell Ringer –Make up the world’s best excuse for not returning your library book on time.

After the quiz– As you read the articles today, remember you are looking for information that explains how advertising affects young people. Answer questions by writing complete sentences using the language of the question so that the remote reader who is grading your work can tell what the question is by the first sentence of your answer. Example: What do you think is the writer’s purpose in writing this text? The writer’s purpose for writing this text is to inform Read pages 88 and 89 and answer questions 1-5 on 89 and 90. Do NOT write the questions.Use blue or black ink to answer the questions on your own loose leaf notebook paper. Remember to follow the instructions above for answering the questions. When you are asked to write evidence, you must copy the complete evidence word for word and put quotation marks around it. Skip one line between each answer.
