4 VOCABULARY SPOTLIGHT 10 minutes
Use the examples to determine meaning of tier two vocabulary. Many people are apprehensive about driving on rainy nights because of reduced visibility. In order to assess your understanding of subjects studied, teachers will ask you to complete a variety of projects with real-world applications. Note: We will review plot elements in class on Monday. Look-up the definitions if you don’t remember their meanings. Apprehensive Assess Exposition Inciting Incident Rising Action Climax Falling Action

6 The Art of Immersion by Frank Rose Response Questions and Prompts
On-line article: Directions: Read & annotate the article. Then respond to the following questions & prompts on a piece of loose-leaf notebook paper. Write neatly! Write one-three sentences explain the central/main idea of the article. Explain how storytelling has changed over time. Give specific details from the article to support your answer. Identify the capitalization error in paragraph 8 (“Then, just as we…”). Explain what it means for a story to be non-linear. Find the formatting error in paragraph 13 (“Tron: Legacy was…”) and explain how to fix it.
