TEKS 8.1 B The student is expected to select and use appropriate forms of rational numbers to solve-real –life problems including those involving proportional relationships 8.2 B The student is expected to use appropriate operations to solve problems involving rational numbers in problem situations. 8.3 B The student is expected to estimate and find solutions to application problems involving percents and other proportional relationships such as similarity and rates.  8.9 A The student is expected to use proportional relationships in similar two-dimensional figures or similar three-dimensional figures to find missing measurements 8.14A The student is expected to identify and apply mathematics to everyday experiences, to activities in and outside of school, with other disciplines, and with other mathematical topics. 8.15A The student is expected to communicate mathematical ideas using language, efficient tools, appropriate units, and graphical, numerical, physical, or algebraic mathematical models.

January 13 on page 14 Warm Up: The students will be completing a word problem involving dilations. Objective: The students will be solving different sceranios involving proportional relationships using concrete models, tables, and proportions. The students will complete “Proportions on the Road,” “What is initial worth,” and “Exploring Proportion.” Homework: complete any work Remind student they will be given a quiz on Wednesday over homework and warm up questions.
