Shoe Design Project Art 1-2

Shoe Designers Many shoe designers get their inspiration from things they see in the world around them: cars, animals, objects. Sometimes shoes are designed for what they can help the person wearing the shoe do: jump, run fast, fitness

Specification Sheet with Name, Color Scheme, & Views of the Side, Top, & Back

Design and create your own original tennis shoe. Guidelines: Shoes need to include line & repeated patterns or texture. Shoes needed to be in color (colored pencils, crayons, tempera/watercolor paint, markers). There was three different views of the shoe on your layout: top, side, & back. Design and include, the name of the shoe, color scheme, brand, logo, & sponsor. This should be written on your layout. Preliminary sketches for each of view of your shoe needs to be approved by the instructor.

Guidelines (continued) On the back include the following information (This will be your sales presentation): Shoe Name ( The Dunkinators) Shoe Brand (Nike, Vans, Steve Maddens, or imaginary own brand) Shoe Sponsor (Michael Jordan, Gwen Stefani, etc.) One informational paragraph about your shoe: What your shoe does – for example “The Dunkinators are the basketball shoe for the most competitive basketball player. The soles are filled with helium and help the person to jump higher…”

Guidelines (continued) Make a presentation to the class. Remember you are trying to sell this product to the consumers in the class! Grading Criteria: Design Creativity Sketch Following directions Work Effort Neatness 100 points Presentation = 25 points
