Into the flow… Where attention is scarce, the library needs to provide services which save time, which are built around user workflow, and which are targeted and engaging... Aggregating resources may not be enough. They will be shaped and projected into user environments in ways that support learning and research objectives. Lorcan Dempsey, Ariadne, 2006

New / Innovative Ideas Share recent innovative work for graduate students at your institutions Brainstorm new ideas and solutions

Considerations for New Efforts What are the characteristics of an ongoing capacity / commitment to assessing graduate students needs and designing spaces / tools / services that support them; and What are the relationships between these needs and those of other constituent groups.

Considerations for New Efforts Choose one or two of your innovative ideas to work with and: –Identify key resources needed: staff, partners, technology, funding, knowledge, skills, abilities and attitudes –Begin to identify sources and strategies for gaining needed resources: retrain, reallocate, seek new funding, etc. –Depending on what you identified in the step above, how to you begin to lay the groundwork for internal change?
