Radiological Work Planning Radiological Safety and Response RPT-243-PE-8 Radiological Work Planning RPT-243-PE-8 Radiological Work Planning ACAD-08-006: None DOE: none Duration: 2.5 hour Prerequisites: RPT-243-6 Lecture Material Resources Needed: RPT-243-PE-8 Student Guide per team; copy of RWP-201X-243 Task # 8 one for each team; Equipment/Supplies: Overhead display for PowerPoint; air sampler with air sample head – one per pair of students or staged in mock-up. Assessment/Evaluation: Examination number 2 will provide a formal assessment of the academic foundation of these learning outcomes. References used in developing this practical exercise presentation: 10CFR20 Instructor should review the INSTRUCOR GUIDE prior to the PE in order to prepare the mock-up for the students.

4/26/2019 Learning Outcomes Upon completion of this lesson, the student will be able to: Given the appropriate radiological survey information and blank documents or templates, demonstrate the ability to prepare a radiological work plan and an RWP to safely perform a designated task. A Practical Exercise Guide should be provided for each student to review during the presentation portion of this practical exercise.

The post-event survey performed last week after the High Radiation Alarm in room 509 identified three hot spots with extremely high dose rates.
