Community Service Log Available on TVHS Website under Counseling Link. Turn in completed forms to counseling office or the career center (rm 207) 40 hours total required, but they can be completed at multiple locations and students do not need to wait for all 40 hours to be done before turning in the log. College Entrance Exams PSAT…took it in October, but plan to do it again as a Sophomore/Junior Only Juniors qualify for National Merit scholarship program. Results will be available through College Board in December. Use results to study for SAT through Kahn Academy. SAT &/or ACT Recommended that juniors take these between Feb – June. Guaranteed Admission! Cal State San Marcos MOU with TVUSD New agreement started with Class of 2015 Student must meet all 7 requirements… Student must be continually enrolled in district since 9th grade. Student must complete all A-G coursework required by CSU admission policies. Student must meet the minimum CSU eligibility index requirements.   Student must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA upon graduation. Student must participate in and successfully pass the Early Assessment Plan (EAP) in their JUNIOR YEAR in math and English OR senior schedule could be restricted. EAP is embedded in CAASPP test taken in spring of junior year. Student must take the SAT reasoning or ACT Exam. (Before December of senior year!) Student must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). (Anytime after October 1st of senior year). Kathy

CAASPP & EAP “Standard Exceeded” = Ready for College Level Placement for English/Math “Standard Met” = Must take math class higher than Algebra 2 as a Senior and/or ERWC instead of Eng 12 and earn a C. “Standard Nearly/Not Met” = Will need extra courses to be College Ready. Could mean doing Early Start summer program for remediation.
