Methodological inconsistencies/issues Containers and swap bodies are grouped together Data for containers on roll on/roll off units are not collected Rail transport statistics are based on gross-gross weight of the goods, including both the weight of packaging and of the ITU tare weight Information on the size of containers is not available preventing the production of estimates for the gross weight of goods in containers ITU data is not available at NUTS-NUTS level. Rough estimates of regional flows Data on gross-gross weight of goods are available for total cargo at NUTS-NUTS/Country level Data on gross-gross weight of goods are available at country level by type of cargo and by type of transport (National, international loadings, international unloadings and transit). The share of containers and swap bodies on the total transport could be calculated by type of transport for each reporting country.
