1 Scheme For Growth What IS IT? WHO CAN USE IT? WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS? A discount from the Royal Mail price for new incremental Advertising Mail posted above a pre agreed “baseline” volume over a 12 month period100g WHO CAN USE IT? Any customer sending new, incremental Advertising Mail volume of at least 250k items over a defined 12 month period WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS? A discount rate of 2.5p (for machine readable letters) to 10.5p (for heavy Large Letters) off the Royal Mail price for all incremental mail posted above the agreed baseline During Feb/March 2017 you may qualify for double discounts for incremental volumes in excess of forecasts Advertisers already signed up are benefiting from postal credits of on average £75k Key Points TO note The Scheme is applicable to advertisers at overall legal entity, specific customer, brand or sub brand The baseline volume will be determined by Royal Mail, based on customers’ historic advertising mail volumes This is an industry-wide scheme meaning that postings will qualify regardless of who you posted with provided mail volume is made visible to Royal Mail for verification purposes Customers will receive discounts in the form of postage credits

2 Testing and Innovation Scheme What IS IT? WHO CAN USE IT? A discount from the Royal Mail price for customers testing new mail applications, for example a welcome pack or fundamental changes to an existing mail application, for example inclusion of messaging on statements. WHO CAN USE IT? Business Mail and Advertising Mail customers who meet the application criteria, are sending at least 10k items and can measure testing activity WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS? A discount rate of c30% off the access price (6.5p – 23p) for Business Mail testing over a 6 month test period and then c10% discount off the access price (2.2p-7.7p) for 6 months for tests which progress to roll out. A discount of c15% off the access price (2.5p-10.5p) for Advertising Mail testing over a 6 month test period. Key Points TO note To qualify for Business Mail tests you’ll need to plan a series of mailings over the testing period to measure success. We ask that subject to testing success you commit to rolling out the new mail activity For Advertising Mail a single campaign can be tested Please ask us for views on qualifying activity we’re happy to guide you An application process exists for TIS Customers will receive discounts in the form of postage credits Available eligible letter and large letter services

3 First Time User What IS IT? WHO CAN USE IT? WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS? An incentive for customers who have never used Advertising Mail or have not used Advertising Mail for some time WHO CAN USE IT? Customers who have never used Advertising mail previously Customers who have not used Advertising mail for the last 24 months Customers able to apply Mailmark barcodes to their mail WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS? 2 4 Advertising Mail Catalogues What IS IT? WHO CAN USE IT? Straight line pricing allowing catalogue mailers using the new Advertising Mail Catalogue product to achieve lower prices between 101-150g WHO CAN USE IT? Customers sending catalogue's comprising primarily of good’s and/or services sold directly from the page using the new Advertising Mail Catalogue service WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS? Access to straight line pricing which reduces the price increase at the initial weight steps for letter & large letter formats between 101-150g Key Points TO note Your catalogue need to meets the content requirement for the new Advertising Mail Catalogue service. You can check this against the specification which is available from www.royalmailwholesale.com/catalogues/ You’ll need to send a seed/sample on the day of mailing. This must also display the relevant UCID You’ll need to use the advertising mail catalogue product code when uploading your mail to Royal Mail

2 4 Advertising Mail Catalogues How might you use this There are four primary routes that you may be able to take to exploit this opportunity Increasing the number of pages in your catalogue Using heavier paper to improve the quality feel of the catalogue Taking third party inserts to fund (more than) the additional cost of postage Inserting leaflets which sell your own products
