CENTENNIAL VOLLEYBALL ACADEMY Welcome to the 2019 Season Club – Parent Meeting September 6th, 2018

Club Philosophy - Mission “Provide all girls/boys with an opportunity to play volleyball at all competitive and recreational levels and in doing so help them develop life skills including leadership, communication, good values, respect for others and a high level of sportsmanship with all involved in the sport”.  

Club Team Structure – In Summary 1-2 Regional “I” Teams (Age Level U10-U16) – Tournament Tentative Schedule Presidents Club Tournament (Omaha) or otherwise scheduled Northern Lights (Minneapolis) or otherwise scheduled 4 USA Local (Iowa) Tournaments USA Regional Qualifier 2-4 Regional “II” Teams (Age Level U10-U16) 6 USA Local (Iowa) Tournaments USA Regional Non-Qualifier 1-4 - Recreational/Local Teams (Age Level U10-U16) – AAU Tournaments Only. Coach will determine schedule for these teams Note: 3rd Grade Teams as demand allows and parent coach availability – AAU Only  

Club Team Structure – Regional I As currently structured under the USA Volleyball Organization Affiliation we will offer the following for players, residing and attending all Centennial feeder schools: USA Estimated Fees ~$700-$800 (Includes Uniforms, USA Tournament Registration Fees (6), USA Qualifier Fees, Practice Gym Fees, Equipment, Coaching, Jaguar Training Camps) 1-2 Regional “I” Teams (Age Level U12-U16) – USA Tournaments Only with focus on competing in regionally held tournaments. Includes 2 tournaments in Omaha, Minneapolis or as otherwise scheduled. This team will be expected to commit to the entire season schedule through Regional Qualifiers in April each year. These teams will be coached by experienced former HS/College players and certified coaches under the USA coaching IMPACT certification. Coaches will be selected by our Director of Coaching Jessica Reinhart. Tryouts will determine team selections for these teams. 4th Grade and Up Players may play with their age grade but will need to complete a waiver with USA Iowa Region. Note: Fees will be finalized as teams are formed and bids accepted/rejected at each age group

Note: A 3rd or 4th team may be formed dependent upon player/coach availability. Players may play with their age grade but will need to complete a waiver with USA Iowa Region. Note: Fees will be finalized as teams are formed and bids accepted/rejected at each age group

Club Team Structure – Recreational As currently structured under the AAU Affiliation we will offer the following for players, residing and attending all Centennial feeder schools: AAU Estimated Fees - ~$250-300 (Includes Uniforms, AAU Tournament Registration Fees (up to 6), Practice Gym Fees, Equipment, Team Camps) 1-4 - Recreational/Local Teams (Age Level U10-U16) – AAU Tournaments Only. These teams will be parent and/or former high school player or other as applicable assigned coach and be expected to play through the AAU State Tournament late March each year. Tryouts will determine team selections for these teams with focus on position and skill level for 4th-10th Grades. Note: 3rd Grade Teams as demand allows and parent coach availability. AAU Only Note: Fees will be finalized as teams are formed and bids accepted/rejected at each age group  

Key Dates and Information Season Start Dates – Jan 1st thru April 30th (est.) Tryouts – October 20th and 27th All 4th – 10th Grades Registration Now Open for Tryouts – September 7th thru September 30 @ 11:59pm - $25 per player. Note: players need to be registered with USA prior to Tryouts for Competitive Programs Bid Letters – will be sent November 1st – Nov 15th. Acceptances for USA will be per the Iowa Region timeline based on national rules Open Gyms in November/December - Time/Place/Teams TBD Camps – Jaguar Team Training Camp included and will be ran by the ACHS Jaguar Coaching Staff AAU State Volleyball Dates – 4-9th Grades March 16th, 6th Grade March 23rd USA Regional Non-Qualifiers Dates – April TBD Medical Release Forms and Membership Card Copies Needed USA Players are required to be Scorer and Referee Certified – course online  

Other Key Information USA JUNIOR PLAYER MEMBERSHIP FEES $50.00 Girl’s Junior (12u-18u) $30.00 Girl’s Junior (11 & under) – May play on an older age team $30.00 Boy’s Junior (9u-18u) FREE 8 & Under Girls or Boys Junior – Must remain 8 years old until Aug 31, 2019 NOT eligible for National events (qualifiers, etc.); for National events need to upgrade to a full membership. AAU MEMBERSHIP FEES $16 – Players $18 – Non-Athletes (Coaches, Managers etc.)
