The Job Access and Reverse Commute (JARC) & New Freedom Programs NYMTC The Job Access and Reverse Commute (JARC) & New Freedom Programs 2010 Project Proposal Solicitation Hello my name is …… I will be speaking today about ……… The purpose of this discussion is to let everyone know what we have been doing under this program solicitation and provide information for those who may be interested in future solicitations of these FTA programs

Timeline Workshops – January 2010 (11,12,14,22) (10:30am – 12:30pm and 2pm – 4pm) 1st Solicitation - March 12, 2010 2nd Solicitation (JARC only)- May 19, 2010 Selection of Proposals – Summer 2010 What is the timeline of this process ? Notice given 1st week of January 2010 Held 8 workshop sessions during month of January across the NYMTC region over 90 people attended the goal of each workshop was To educate prospective JARC and New Freedom program proposers on: Federal requirements and regulations; Project eligibility and financing; and Planning procedures of the programs. To assist in developing and submitting applications one on one sessions were offered during the workshops and over 30 1on 1 sessions were conducted between February and March. The 1st solicitation deadline was March12, 2010. A Subcommittee was convened and as review began we realized there may not be enough JARC proposals so we held a 2nd Solicitation with a May 19, 2010 deadline. We received 2 JARC and New Freedom Proposals. Full selection of project proposal will finalized by the end of this summer starting with selection designation for grant review, MPO documentation and ending with grant approval on or around October 1, 2010 .
