What is a Webmix? A webmix is a collection of tiles for a specific subject. There are two types of webmixes: 1. Webmix that contains tiles (links, bookmarks, widgets, embedded content) 2. Webmix that contains RSS tiles (Really Simple Syndication (RSS).

Two Types of Webmixes Type 1 Tiles Type 2 RSS Feeds Videos Websites Links  RSS removes the need for the user to manually check the website for new content. Instead, their browser constantly monitors the site and informs the user of any updates

Symbaloo  is a visual bookmarking tool that makes it simple and fun to organize the best of the web. You have all your favorite websites at your fingertips. With an account you can access your bookmarks from everywhere with any device and share your online resources with others.

What Are Tiles? A tile is what we call each individual square on a Symbaloo webmix Each tile is linked to a website

How To Create A Symbaloo Go to www.symbaloo.com Sign up for free account Simply type in your email and password Then confirm password

How Does the Symbaloo Work Click on one of the tiles that are in the Symbaloo Click and drag the tiles to move them around or change the order You can simply edit the Symbaloo on the homepage or you can start a Symbaloo from scratch

What Are Your Favorite Websites? Open a new tab Go to one of your favorite web resources for your students, for your professional learning or for your daily routine and management

Let’s Get Started! To begin a blank Symbaloo Go to the dashboard Click on add a webmix Give your webmix a name Click Add

Adding to your Symbaloo Click on a blank tile Create a Tile Go to the website you want to add Copy the url (web address) of the website you want to add Go back to Symbaloo Paste the web address space provided (right click, paste) Name your tile Add color or image to represent website

Let’s Add Another Tile In a new tab, find the resource you want to add to the webmix Copy the url (web address) Go back to Symbaloo Click on a blank tile within the Symbaloo
