Welcome to Kemp Elementary School 2018-2019 Open House

Early Drop Off and Late Pick Up Please be advised that there is no early morning drop off. Campus Kids should be utilized for after school care. Student breakfast begins at 7:15 a.m. and is the earliest your child should arrive at school. Car riders must arrive before 7:40 a.m. for breakfast. The day ends at 2:15 p.m. Unless your child is participating in an afterschool activity, please pick your child up no later than 2:45 p.m.

Other Important Information Kemp Elementary accepts cash or money orders as payment for fundraisers or other school events. No personal checks, please. Please update home addresses, telephone numbers, emails, and transportation information.

Mandatory Uniform Dress Shirts: red, black, and white (collar, solid, no stripes or designs). Pants/Skirts/Dresses: Khaki, navy blue, black (no jeans, belts must be worn). Shoes: No flip-flops, crocs, or dance slippers. Shoes that are strapless and expose the majority of the foot, should not be worn. Uniform compliance is a factor for participation in monthly incentives.

PAWS Behavior Expectations: PREPARED- Come to class prepared; enter hallway silently ATTENTIVE- Only talk when given permission WISE- Be respectful to others SAFE- Keep hands and other items to yourself

Progressive Discipline Process Teachers will maintain Discipline Logs on each student. Consequences for violating school and/or district rules will become more severe with each infraction. Consequences include: warning, seat change, parent contact, parent conferences, in-team isolation, cross-team isolation, teacher detention. Once the above consequences have been exhausted, students will receive an office referral. Office referrals may result in administrative or Out-Of-School Suspension. Fighting and other egregious behaviors will result in immediate office referrals.

Grading System At least two grades should be entered each week for each content area. Please check Infinite Campus weekly. Username and password needed for Infinite Campus. Classwork 50% Tests 15% Quizzes 15% Projects 15% Homework 5%
