The Sun

Sun Basics The sun is a star It is the center of our Solar System. All planets revolve around the sun. Made up of hot gases Our main source of energy The sun is not the largest star, just the closest star to Earth

Sun Spots Cooler spots on the sun. They appear darker because they are not as hot as the other parts (but they are still way to hot to touch)

How Big Is The Sun?

Solar Energy Solar energy is energy from the sun. The sun is the major energy source for all of Earth. Solar Energy Uses: heat Earth’s land and water, energy source for photosynthesis, make electricity for solar houses/cars. Solar energy can be changed into other forms of energy.
