Advantages of living in the city Both living in the city or in the country has its advantages and disadvantages. In a city it is easier to find a job, because there are a lot of job opportunities. There are also more shops and shopping centres than in the country. People can buy everything what they need.

Advantages of living in the city There are many schools and free-time activities for children and many possibilities how to spend leisure time. Cultural life in the city is very rich, there are a lot of cinemas, theatres, concerts, sport events, shopping malls, restaurants, pubs and museums.

Disadvantages of living in the city In a city most people live in flats and they have to pay rent. The air in the cities is polluted and there is noise and stress everywhere. Shops, streets and public transport are full of people.

Disadvantages of living in the city There is heavy traffic and it is difficult to find a parking place, especially in the centre. In the evening and at night the streets are not safe, you can meet strange and dangerous people.

Living in the city In general, we can say that life in the city is comfortable, but it is also expensive and less healthy.

Advantages of living in the country On the other hand, life in the country has also got its advantages and disadvantages. Most people have their own houses with large garden, they don’t have to pay rent. Some people grow fruit or vegetables.

Advantages of living in the country Life in the country is safer and not so expensive as the life in the city. It is also quieter and in the country, there is no traffic, no noise, and air is much cleaner. People can relax, go to the forest and enjoy beautiful nature.

Disadvantages of living in the country In the country it is difficult to find a good job and there is a problem with the public transport. It is sometimes difficult to get to school, hospital or shops. People need to have their own cars if they want to get somewhere very quickly.

Disadvantages of living in the country In the village there are also problems with shops, we can usually buy only basic things. There are not many places where to go and what to do – there aren't any cinemas, theatres, clubs in the village.

Living in the village In general, we can say that life in the country is calmer, cheaper and healthier. But it can also be a bit boring and sometimes, especially in winter, it can be more difficult than in the city.
