3 Prague - population, area, location
Prague is situated in the centre of our country, on the both banks of the river Vltava. Population of Prague is about 1.2 million people. Area of Prague is about 500 km2

4 Prague Castle is the largest medieval castle in the world.
The most famous sight is Prague Castle, was the residence of Czech kings and it is the seat of our president. Prague Castle is the largest medieval castle in the world. Famous sights of the Prague Castle are the St. Vitus Cathedral, the Royal Palace with Vladislav Hall, Spanish Hall or the Golden Lane.

5 St. Vitus Cathedral The largest and the most important temple in Prague. Built in the gothic style. The Czech Crown Jewels are kept there.

6 Charles Bridge The oldest bridge in Prague over the river Vltava
and the second oldest bridge in Central Europe. The bridge is decorated by baroque statues made by Matyáš Braun. On both ends of the bridge are Gothic Bridge Towers. The bridge is one of the leading tourist attractions of Prague. Is it always full of tourists, souvenirs stalls and street artists.

7 The Old Town Square The centre of historical Prague.
Famous for the Old Town Hall with astronomical clock. Statue of Jan Hus Týn Church (Gothic style)

8 Wenceslas Square Statue of St. Wenceslas on a horse.

In the city we can travel by train, tram, taxi or by underground. Underground has 3 lines – A, B and C (green, yellow and red line). The biggest airport is Airport of Václav Havel.
