2. Sipkay Barna Secondary school for Tourism, Hospitality, Commerce and Business Our school is situated in the North-East part of Hungary. Our town Nyíregyháza is a county seat with a population of 120 000 people.

3. Budapest Our capital city is the biggest town of the country Buda Castle was the historical castle of the Hungarian kings in Budapest. In the past, it was also called Royal Palace and Royal Castle.

4. River Danube There are 2 big rivers in Hungary: the Danube and the Tisza. Seven islands can be found on the river Danube. Budapest is divided into Buda and Pest by the Danube.

5. The Hungarian Parliament The Hungarian Parliament Building is a popular tourist destination of Budapest. It is on Kossuth Lajos Square, on the bank of the Danube. It is currently the largest building in Hungary, and the second largest Parliament in Europe.

6. The Heroes’ Square It is one of the major squares of Budapest, so a lot of tourists visit it regularly. Here we can see the statues of the leaders of the seven tribes who founded Hungary in the 9th century.

7. Our city Nyíregyháza is a city in the North- East of Hungary and it is the county seat of Szabolcs- Szatmár-Bereg. It is one of the leading cities of Nothern Hungary.

8. From the 1960s the city grew and developed fast. Today, Nyíregyháza is one of the most prosperous cities of Hungary, being both an educational center and a popular tourist destination. It attracts numerous visitors during the musical events and festivals especially during „Nyírségi Ősz”. Europe’s largest free world music festival „Happy Art Festival” also takes place here each year at the beginning of September.

9. By night… In this picture we can see the Korona Hotel. The 100 year- old Korona Hotel one of the most famous buildings of Nyíregyháza. The hotel is in the centre. There are 35 air-conditioned luxuriously furnished rooms. The historic Kodály Hall is ideal for holding conferences, performances, balls, weddings, shows, exhibitions and other events. The hotel also includes a bank, a pharmacy, a travel office and a souvenir shop.

10. Sóstógyógyfürdő The thermal lake of Sóstógyógyfürdő has been a tourist attraction for centuries. The lake is very warm, around 26 °C and is surrounded by a park of 2,000 square kilometres.

11. The newest and biggest shopping center in downtown is the Korzó.

12. Village museum in Sóstó Village Museum Sóstó-glimpses at village life in the 19th century. We can see here old houses where people lived and buildings where people worked. There is an old school here too where children learnt.
