Subcommittee on Well Cements (SC10) Existing Document Status: Revision of API Specification 10A, 24th Edition, December 2010, “Specification for Cements and Materials for Well Cementing” Document reaffirmed in December 2015 25th Edition Ballot closed 12 January 2018. Document is currently in the ballot comment resolution stage. Revision of API RP 10B-2, Second Edition, April 2013, “Recommended Practice for Testing Well Cements” Publication of RP 10B-2, 2nd Edition April 2013. Comments are being logged, reviewed and discussed with set path forward after “Special Work Session” on Thursday, January 21st, 2016 Future revisions to include: Stirred Fluid Loss Testing, Fluid Loss Screens and elimination of inconsistencies between API Spec 10A and RP 10B-2 New WG was formed to revise/rewrite Sections 10, 11 & 12, specifically with regards to atmospheric vs HTHP slurry conditioning requirements. Document to be finalized then reviewed by SC10 Master Editor before sending to publications. Anticipate ballot the document in 2018 We will be required to ballot to reaffirm until revision in completed

Subcommittee on Well Cements (SC10) Existing Document Status: API RP 10B-3, Second Edition, January 2016, “Recommended Practice on Testing of Well Cements used in Deepwater Well Construction” No ongoing work in SC10 API RP 10B-4, Second Edition, October 2015 “Recommended Practice on Preparation and Testing of Foamed Cement Formulations at Atmospheric Pressure”, No work ongoing on RP 10B-4 Technical Report (TR) on Foam Cement Behavior under Well Conditions is the second phase of this WG charge. Pending completion of section on Mechanical Properties and ballot.

Subcommittee on Well Cements (SC10) Existing Documents Status: API RP 10B-5, First Edition, April 2005, “Recommended Practice on Determination of Shrinkage and Expansion of Well Cement Formulations at Atmospheric Pressure”, Document reaffirmed in April 2015. No work ongoing within SC10 Revision of API RP 10B-6, First Edition, August 2010, “Recommended Practice on Determining the Static Gel Strength of Cement Formulations”, Document revision is underway by Work Group.

Subcommittee on Well Cements (SC10) Existing Documents Status: Revision of API Specification 10D, Sixth Edition March 2002, “Specification for Bow Spring Casing Centralizers” Document reaffirmed April 2015. Document revision currently underway by Work Group to include performance testing requirements for centralizers that are to be used in applications where they are run through restrictions that are smaller than the hole size in which they are to be set. API RP 10D-2, 1st Edition, “Recommended Practice for Centralizer Placement and Stop Collar Testing”, August 2004 Document reaffirmed in April 2015. No work ongoing within SC10

Subcommittee on Well Cements (SC10) Existing Documents Status: Revision of API RP 10F, 3rd Edition, April 2002 “Performance Testing of Cementing Float Equipment” Document reaffirmed in April 2015. WG will publish rewrite as API Specification 10F, 4th Edition which will replace and make obsolete API RP 10F, 3rd Edition. This document will include required specifications and the associated performance testing protocols for the manufacturing of Cement Float Equipment. Document was balloted and is currently in publication the queue.

Subcommittee on Well Cements (SC10) Existing Documents Status: Revision of API Technical Report 10TR1 Second Edition, September 2008, “Cement Sheath Evaluation” WG established and document is currently under revision. Publication of API Technical Report 10TR2 First Edition, July 1997, Shrinkage and Expansion in Oilwell Cements Reaffirmed September 2002 No work ongoing within SC10 Publication of Technical Report 10TR6, “Evaluation and Testing of Mechanical Cement Wiper Plugs”, 1st Edition, July 2015 Publication of API 10TR7 on “Mechanical Behavior of Cement” Published December 2017 No work ongoing with in SC10

Subcommittee on Well Cements (SC10) Existing Documents Status: Revision of API RP 65-1, 1st Edition, “Cementing Shallow Water Flow Zones in Deepwater Wells”, September 2002 Reaffirmed 2012. Document is currently in page proof expected publishing date February or March, 2018 as API Standard 65-1. API Standard 65-2, 2nd Edition, December 2010, “Isolating Potential Flow Zones During Well Construction”, Reaffirmed November 26th 2016. No work ongoing within SC10 Revision of API Bulletin E3, 1st Edition, Environmental Guidance Document, January 1993, “Well Abandonment and Inactive Well Practices for U.S. Exploration and Production Operations” Reaffirmed 2000, revision is currently in the API publication queue.
