Most important point of developments in Turkey concerning Regional and Urban Statistics October 27-28, 2010 Working Group on Regional and Urban Statistics

Studies on 2011 Population census are ongoing. LAU 1 and LAU 2 lists have been prepared including population and sent to Eurostat. The content of the Regional Database was updated and improved. Labour cost surveys which have been carried out by Turkish Statistical Institute for 2008 on regional level 1. Labour force survey results for 2004-2006 have been updated according to new population projections.

Main labour force indicators by regional level 3 have been estimated using LFS survey results by regional level 2 and administrative register data. Structural Business Statistics enriched with economic activities such as telecommunication and financial intermediation statistics. Regional gross value added (GVA) has been estimated, covering the period 2004-2006.
