EU Ecolabel Workplan Work Plan 2011-2015 will not be modified New rolling Workplan 2016-2018 to be finalised after this meeting – only future activities and not report on past ones (after finalisation, time will be given for comments) 2

EU Ecolabel Workplan CHAPTERS (1/3) EU Ecolabel Growth Strategy will include the actions to improve EU Ecolabel Efficiency, effectiveness, EU added value, Relevance identified this morning. Policy development and coherence will include, among others, better integration of EU Ecolabel/EMAS in case of services and cross-cutting issues discussed today. 3

EU Ecolabel Workplan CHAPTERS (2/3) Increased and effective communication will include the development (and possibly the implementation) of an EU Ecolabel communication campaign + joint efforts undertaken by MSs, Helpdesk, other stakeholders (e.g. Task Force established to promote EU Ecolabel Tourism Accommodation Services ) Greater coordination with other schemes will include a study on the assessment of the implementation of Art. 11.1 of the EU Ecolabel Regulation: Article 11- Ecolabelling schemes in the Member States Where EU Ecolabel criteria for a given product group have been published, other nationally or regionally officially recognised EN ISO 14024 type I ecolabelling schemes* which do not cover that product group at the time of publication may be extended to that product group only where the criteria developed under those schemes are at least as strict as the EU Ecolabel criteria. CBs to notify the EC by 31 August 2015 what they are. 4
