Communication What is it?

2 Types of Communication Verbal Nonverbal Verbal communication is EASY, it’s what we say to others. We use tone and volume to enhance our words. Makes up 75% of our message to others. How we stand, look, use of body language, etc.

(pauses or stress on words) (e.g. invading someone’s space) Sounds (e.g. laughing) Ways of talking (pauses or stress on words) Posture (e.g. slouching) Closeness (e.g. invading someone’s space) Appearance (e.g. untidiness) Non Verbal communication/ Body Language Body Contact (e.g. shaking hands, giving a hug) Head Movements (e.g. nodding) Facial Expressions (e.g. frown, smile) Eye Movements (e.g. winking) Hand Movements (e.g. waving)
