Academic Course Schedule Adding Meeting Times to a Section Using SSASECT

Welcome . . . Purpose: Faculty will learn how to add meeting times to a course section using SSASECT. Audience: Academic Deans, Department Heads, Coordinators of Instructional Activities, Program Coordinators, and Division Secretaries Instructional Time: 7-10 minutes Assumptions: General navigation knowledge of Banner

Adding Meeting Times to a Section Open the Schedule form by typing SSASECT in the Go box of the Banner Main menu and press the <Enter> key on the keyboard. Type the term code in the Term field. Select the drop-down arrow for the CRN field. This will take you to the search form SSASECQ. Type the subject and course codes for the section you are building in their respective fields. Press the Execute Query icon on the tool bar. The results of your query displays. Click on the section that you want to work with and select the Select icon on the toolbar.

Adding Meeting Times to a Section Click the Next Block icon on the toolbar to move the cursor to the first information block of the form. Under the Options Menu, select Scheduled Meeting Times. Select the drop-down arrow for the Meeting Time. Double-click on the meeting time you want to use. This will bring the meeting time back into the form. (Note: If you extend the meeting time, leave the Start Time as it is and extend the End Time. The Start Time has to follow the Scheduling Guidelines.) Click the Save icon on the toolbar. When you are finished, click the Exit icon on the toolbar.
