2 High School Redesign SB561 (2007) Dual Credit SB943 (2007) & SB31 (2008) Available By Dual Credit Distance Learning Cooperation between Districts and Institute of Higher Education District means public school districts, charter schools and state-supported institutions

3 The Statewide Dual Credit Program Allows public high school students in Districts, Charter Schools, and State- Supported Schools to earn both HS and College credit for qualifying dual credit courses Allows public high school students in Districts, Charter Schools, and State- Supported Schools to earn both HS and College credit for qualifying dual credit courses

4 SB561 (2007): High School Redesign By : entering 9 th graders : shall earn at least one credit as : Honors Advanced Placement Dual Credit, or Distance Learning course

5 A Dual Credit Course Yields High School and College Credit for Academic or Career Technical Courses Apply toward a degree or certificate program Remedial and developmental courses may not be taken for dual credit
