108 Preparing the nails for a nail art technique

Prepare the hands Step 1 Wash and cleanse your hands Cleanse over the clients hands using a hand sanitizer Check clients hands for any contraindications

Step 2 Remove any nail enamel that is already on the nail with none acetone nail remover.

Step 3 File and shape the nails if necessary Remember to ask client what nail shape they would like

Step 4 Wipe over the nails again with non acetone nail polish remover

Step 6 Apply a base coat. If nail art design require a colour apply a coloured enamel once the base coat is dried
