What is Interact??? Interact is a club for young people ages 12-18 who want to join together to tackle the issues in their community that they care most about. Through Interact, you can: Carry out hands-on service projects Make international connections Develop leadership skills Have fun!

What does Interact do? Special Olympics Track and Field/ Bowling 5k or “Walks” Gleaux Run Superhero 5k* Autism Walk Heart Walk Lane Chili Cook Off* Relay for Life * Christmas in the Village In House Fundraisers* Bags of Hope (SVDP)* Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball Concessions Track Concessions BREC BREC a Boo Halloween Mountain Bike Trail Park Beautification Athletics Toys for Tots Samaritan’s Purse * Mardi Gras Parade (NES)* Oschner Blood Drive* Breakfast with Santa *

Why should I join Interact? We are the best!  You can put Interact on college apps if you complete your hours! We only require 40 hours of community service (mandatory 30 in club hours/ 10 out of club hours) Seniors –5 of your club hours can count towards Senior Service hours! Volunteer for another club – We will accept 4 of those hours! Lunch meetings throughout the year! You get rewarded for going to meetings! (2 meetings = 1 hour) Our volunteering opportunities are A LOT of fun!

What are the Requirements? To Join New Membership 9th – 12th Grade 2.5 GPA (Spring 2017) 3.0 (Freshmen – 1st six weeks) No Disciplinary Issues Helping hands to serve ZHS and the community Application Member Fee $30 (Dues, T-Shirt, Meetings, Donations) Minimum of 40 service hours for the year 30 ZHS Interact hours required Attend Meetings 3 Unexcused per Semester You will lose 1 hour afterwards Attend Events you’ve signed up for. Please try not to cancel hours before you are scheduled to attend the event.

How do I join? CHECK YOUR GPA! You must have at least a 2.5 (10th – 12th). CHECK YOUR DISCIPLINE RECORD! We don’t want to deal with any issues. Complete application and pay dues by Friday, September 15. None will be accepted after that date. Return forms along with dues to any sponsor Once you receive your welcome letter, do a happy dance because you are now apart of Interact Club!
