Annual Report 2010/2011

Get to Know Us! We are Animals Cant Talk Rescue and Adoption Inc. Thank you for your interest in our non-profit organization. In this presentation we will try to give you an overview of who we are and what we have accomplished this past year. We are a 501c-3 rescue. We strive to save as many unwanted, abused, neglected and lost animals as possible. Our focus is to find each and every one a good home. All are veterinarian checked, inoculated, treated (when necessary), spayed and neutered (our primary thrust) and cared for until adopted. 2

We House Our Rescue Animals in PetSmart located in Stroudsburg, PA Every Saturday, our President, Naomi Gauntlett and her volunteers hold adoptions at PetSmart. Every person working for the rescue is a volunteer, so all money donated to ACT is strictly used for the animals.

Re-Home Program Currently, ACT does not house dogs. If a customer wishes to adopt a dog, we can search high kill shelters and hopefully find their new companion. However, we have started a new program where we offer assistance to those who need to re-home so the dogs dont end up in shelters.

Fundraisers Wal-Mart Bingo Low Cost Vaccination Clinic Texas Roadhouse Dinner Adopt A Stray Day Community Day Fashion Show Bon Ton Coupon Book 5 To subsidize our costs, we hold various fundraisers in our community. We regularly set up a donation area in front of Wal-Mart, held a Basket Bingo, two Low Cost Vaccination Clinics (one with a Dog Fashion Show directly afterwards), had a dinner at Texas Roadhouse Steakhouse, held two Adopt A Stray Days, participated in a Community Day, and Sold Bon Ton Coupon Books.

Memberships, and Sponsors ACT is a member of iGive, an online search engine that donates a portion of the proceeds to charity. Our animals are featured on PIBCO, an online broadcasting company. ACT also pulls animals from high kill shelters in NYC, and is a member of the Mayors Alliance. We recently added our organization to GuideStar, an online site that connects non- profit organizations with contributors. 6 Member of iGive PIBCO Mayors Alliance GuideStar Sponsors Maddies Fund Purina Pro Plan The Pedigree Foundation PetSmart Charities

7 Our Contributors keep us moving forward to help the animals in need to find homes. It is through their generosity that we have continued to grow and make a difference in our community.

Affiliations Mayors Alliance iGive PIBCO GuideStar Paws for a Cause We strive to reach as much of the public as possible by belonging to the following organizations.

Wal-Mart Easter 2010 Childs face painting and coloring day. On Easter Sunday 2010, we set up our tent in front of the Stroudsburg PA Wal-Mart and sold merchandise with our logo. We offered free Face Painting for the children and had a coloring contest where the drawings were displayed on our website. Events such as these help to educate the public, fund our efforts, and provide fun for the local children.

April 2010 Our first Low Cost Vaccination Clinic was very well attended. The people of the community were able to keep their pets healthy and save money. Our rescue worked in conjunction with Creature Comforts Veterinary Service to hold this event.

NCC-Monroe's Second Annual "Pet Day" on April 17, 2010 Northampton Community College student clubs provided face painting, a doggie wash, a dog/cat biscuit bake sale, and craft activities. There were also raffles for pet store gifts. ACT was a proud participant in the fun filled event.

June Our Tricky Tray/Basket Bingo was a huge success. Our fundraising efforts exceeded expectations and the night was fun for all. Local businesses donated goods and services as the prizes. This allows the word to be spread about our work, helps businesses, and funds our projects. All our contributors are listed on our Sponsor Page.

September Hundreds of people attended the festival and all the children had a great time. This event was a great success.

September 2010 Our local Steak House provided a donation night for our rescue. Ten percent of the dinner tab for all who attended was donated to ACT.

October 2010 Our second Low Cost Clinic was also a success. Afterwards a Halloween costume show for dogs took place.

Fashion Show 16 A cute costume event for dogs followed our low cost vaccine clinic. Our mascot, Prudence, is pictured in the turtle costume.

October 2010 Our first Adopt A Stray Day went so well others were planned for the following Spring until Fall. ACT invited other rescues to attend and all met at PetSmart in Stroudsburg, PA. This event provided other shelters with more exposure and for the public to see and get to know the rescue groups working in our area.

February 2011 Bon Ton department store offered coupon books to local charities. We were able to sell these booklets for $5 each to consumers. The value was over $200.

April through September 2011 Our second Adopt A Stray Day is now one of a series. Every first Saturday, guest rescues are invited to join ACT at PetSmart in a combined adoptathon. These events give exposure to new and established rescues alike.

Graphic for Fundraiser Cups 2010 We have donation cups in various establishments to try to raise revenue for our cause.

Animal Rescue Shelter Challenge Animal Rescue Shelter Challenge (every 3 months) ACT participated in all the Shelter Challenges this past year and will continue to do so. In the State of PA. we continually place in the top 20.

March 2011 We participated in the New Beginnings story contest. Some of our loyal clients were generous enough to submit photos in our behalf.

Feral Cat Involvement Recently, The Humane Society requested we put their link on our site. They applauded our efforts in controlling feral cat population (TNR). The two left photos were used to created a rollover button to link to the Humane Society.

Request from At the request of ProbioticSmart.com We placed a link on our website of the Benji story. The title of article is Proof that theres no limit to what an adopted dog can do

Our Veterinarian Our Veterinarian, consistently assist our efforts. They give the rescue discount prices for medical care and offer their services in our low cost vaccine clinics.
