Professional Governance: A Council for How UPC/ DPC   Each unit / department will have a council Facility level: New Knowledge & Innovation Councils (NKI) Members include bedside clinicians as chairs and leadership mentors drives continuous improvement and innovation at UCLA Health by means of evidence-based practice (EBP), nursing research, innovation, and technology adoption in nursing practice. NK Council members will strive to contribute to the science of nursing by enhancing or developing new care processes through the application of existing and/or new evidence. System level: Research & Innovation Council (RIC) Members include bedside clinicians as chairs, chairs of the NKI Councils, chairs of other system councils and leadership mentors The purpose of the Research and innovation Council is to increase the scientific foundation of practice through innovation and nursing research activities throughout UCLA Health, including research and innovation infrastructure, development, utilization, education and dissemination.
