2 Barriers to Nurse Involvement in Inquiry
Time and Resources Access to Experts Authority to Influence Change Variation in Educational Preparation Negative Beliefs and Attitudes about Research 12/31/2018 Barriers to Nurse Involvement in Inquiry Nursing practice based on research evidence has been shown to promote positive patient outcomes. Organizational culture is a determinant of nurses' use of research in practice. Healthcare organizations must develop a supportive environment that addressed these barriers in an effort to attract nurses who share a similar philosophy to positively influence the organization's research culture and ultimately the care patients receive. (Karkos & Peters 2006; Bahadori et al 2016).
