Negotiation Mandate: • To connect the project to the relevant activities of the European Innovation Partnership (EIP) on Water , including the Action Groups. • To demonstrate in the ‘Description of the Work’ (work package descriptions in Part A and section 3 on Impact in Part B) how the project intends establishing links and synergies with related major water investment/implementation projects at local, regional or national level to help leverage the demand side for the demonstrated water solutions, and (2) strengthening complementarity with other EU funding mechanisms (e.g. EU regional funds such as the European Regional Development Fund, the European Social Fund or the Cohesion Fund, including those to be attributed in the context of a research and innovation strategy for smart specialisation in the future programming period as of 2014).

Synergies with major water projects and with EU Structural Funds Include in WP dissimination/exploitation/commercialisation a Task on each of the 2 sub-issues of the negotiation mandate: Explore and look at all existing and possible resources (including from SF) and reflect this in a "resource mobilisation strategy" for the follow-up of the DEMO phase towards commercialisation Examine the Regional RIS3 (Research and Innovation Strategies for Smart Specialisation) which are an ex-ante conditionality for funding under the European Regional Fund (Theme 1) and ensure follow-up Commit to meet with the Regional Authorities in charge of the Structural Funds early in the process for the programmes 2014-2020 RIS3 http://s3platform.jrc.ec.europa.eu/home The agreement or common actions must be clearly reflected in the DoW
