Pt reports to the PT that he hurt his R wrist a week ago at work and it seems to not getting better. Patient states when he tries to carry something in his R hand he has a sharp shooting pain that runs into his hand and up into his forearm. Pt also states whenever he tries to bare any weight on his hand/wrist the pain becomes unbearable. PT does not see any obvious deformity but does see swelling in the wrist region and mild ecchymosis .PT palpates all carpal bones, feels for any joint laxity and point tenderness in the hand or around the wrist. PT takes the patient through PROM and AROM. PT also checks for grip strength and compares injured to uninjured.
