How to Setup Your Wireless Router Demo

Wireless Router Security Important things to know: –Change the Default SSID name (network name) –Disable the SSID Broadcast –Use Encryption such as WEP, WPA –Change the Default Username and Password!!! –Use NAT with DHCP, a feature built into most routers, so that outsiders can only see the router.

Getting a Stronger Signal Change the Channel. Move the router off the floor and away from walls and metal objects When possible put the router in a central location. Range is about 300 ft. indoors.
