MAP DATA

What does the data tell us? Fleming County Schools What does the data tell us? Reduced the number of Novice in Reading and Math. 106 students tested-5 Novice in Math and 22 Novice in Reading. Above district and state P/D in Math, Social Studies, and Writing. Growth score of 68.5 above district and state. Met AMO of 52 with score of 72.3. No significant gaps reported among F/R lunch students. Current 5 and 6 grade students are performing below district and state in Reading. Language Mechanics scores indicate an increase in Novice and Apprentice from previous years. Ranked 121st out of 709 elementary schools. The vision of Fleming County Schools is to become a District of Distinction.

Next Steps Monitor our School Improvement Priorities. Identify students scoring Novice, students showing no growth, and distance from Proficiency. Determine intervention plan for those identified. Utilize MAP Probes to track growth between MAP and Benchmark testing. Analyze our Benchmark data to identify specific standards that students are struggling with. Enhance student ownership in Learning: student data notebooks in Reading and Math Provide a balanced instructional process that include the Five Essential Phases for an Instructional Process. Monitor our School Improvement Priorities.

School Improvement Priorities Fleming County Schools School Improvement Priorities Refine our PLC Protocol- track student growth utilizing our intervention data. Intervention daily with classroom teacher based on individual student needs. Utilize programs that support and monitor student growth. Implement Great Leaps for one on one intervention. Advocacy program-building a supportive culture All improvement priorities have been implemented and are being monitored for effectiveness. The vision of Fleming County Schools is to become a District of Distinction.

School Improvement Priorities Fleming County Schools School Improvement Priorities MAP probes given next week will give us a clearer picture of the growth students have shown from August. Our success last year was from making necessary changes as we analyzed the data. You must make changes in order to be successful and not continue the same thing. Changes that must occur: instructional approach, class assignment, modifications and/or accommodations, etc. Born Learning Academy Grant-providing connections with families of young children to the school community and offer strategies that caregivers can use at home to maximize the child’s early learning. The vision of Fleming County Schools is to become a District of Distinction.
