3 Details K-6 Targeted Group: All Students Program: Scott Foresman

4 Objective Provide differentiated instruction within Tier 1 core curriculum time through a combination of homogeneous and heterogeneous groupings through leveled readers and teaching strategies exposing all students to same skills and vocabulary.

5 Goal Provide instruction at appropriate levels within the core curriculum so that all students can participate successfully.

6 Details K-1 Targeted Group: All Students Program: Reading Mastery

7 Objective Provide additional 35 minutes per day of direct instruction on grade level through homogeneous groupings on phonemic awareness and decoding to all students within Tier 1 as a targeted intervention to provide an alternative instruction program to meet the needs of all students during the important time of students acquiring the foundation for reading.

8 Goal Provide an alternative program so that students receive instruction in a different format meeting the needs of students so that all students progress at grade level.

9 Details: Grade 2 Targeted Group: Students Performing at Or Below Grade Level Program: Reading Mastery

10 Objective Provide additional 35 minutes per day of direct instruction through homogeneous grouping on grade level on phonemic awareness and decoding to students within Tier 1 as a targeted intervention to provide an alternative instruction program to meet the needs of students during the important time of students acquiring the foundation for reading.

11 Goal Provide a continued alternative program so that students receive the support needed to maintain growth in acquisition of reading skills at grade level.

13 Objective Provide additional 35 minutes per day of direct instruction above grade level on phonemic awareness and decoding through homogeneous grouping to students within Tier 1 as a targeted intervention to provide an alternative instruction program to meet the needs of students that have acquired the basic foundation for reading.

14 Goal Provide continued alternative program to accelerate growth in reading above grade level

15 Grades 3-6 Targeted Group: All Students Program: Corrective Reading

16 Objective Provide additional 35 minutes per day of direct instruction at or above grade level on phonemic awareness, decoding, and comprehension through homogeneous grouping to students within Tier 1 as a targeted intervention to provide an alternative instruction program to meet the needs of students that have acquired the basic foundations for reading.

17 Goal Provide continued alternative program to : 1. Keep students who are struggling with reading at least at grade level 2. Allow students that are successfully acquiring reading skills above grade level to continue at an accelerated rate.

19 Objective Provide additional 35 minutes per day of directed reading above grade level with assessments on comprehension

Goal: Provide additional instruction time to bring students up to grade level and/or maintain grade level performance.

23 Grades K-6 Targeted Group: Students Performing Above Grade Level Program: Study Island Objective: Provide additional 35 minutes 2 days per week through homogeneous grouping above grade level for those students performing on or above grade level within Tier 1 as a targeted enrichment to provide an additional instruction time to meet the needs of individual students. 24 COMMITTEE FORMULATION Targeting all students Program: Dibels for K-2 and 4Sight for 3-6 Form Committee to develop a standard data report for individual students, classroom teachers, building principals and district and develop a staff development plan on these reports. Goal: Provide a uniform data report that can be used for directing instructional delivery and instructional programs to maximize student success.

25 Continued.. Form committees to investigate comprehensive remediation and enrichment programs within Tier 2 in both math and reading, select remediation and enrichment programs, and develop program implementation. Goal: Pilot selected programs for targeted students to gather data on program effectiveness and make a recommendation for purchase and implementation for 2010-2011.
